Quiet
Lately I haven’t been writing a lot of emails or on my blog so I’m trying to change that. The first few weeks when I got back from the Netherlands after a wonderful time there I had a difficult period. Mainly by homesickness and a quiet period at my volunteer work. After sitting on the couch doing nothing but pouting I got back in action and have lots to do again. A nice thing is that I found a lovely community theatre company. The United Players have their own little theatre, made of wood, close to Jericho beach. The moment I sat foot there I felt at home.

They have performances in September of the Seagull by Chekhov, I am helping painting the abstract set. Also in September the rehearsals for the next play start, the Aristocrats by Brian Friel. Auditions have been completed, but the position of stage manager was still available so I’m going to try that. It will be a lot of work and responsibilities, but I’m very excited to try it. Three to four rehearsals a week and performances are in November.
