Bat play
This morning my second play was performed and it was a lot of fun. I’ve written a play about bats for the Northwest Wildlife Preservation Society. Normally they give presentation at elementary schools about wildlife. Once a year the Michael J. Fox theatre (yes, he’s from Burnaby) is booked and bus loads of children come to watch the show. More than 600 children were in the audience! This time I had enough actors, including my brother so I didn’t have to act myself. I was busy enough with directing, making costumes and props. I did announce the show (with a sombrero).

The play is about two bats who meet in Mexico. One is a insect eating bat and the other only eats fruit. They also run into a tortoise and they are chased by two owls. Mike took care of the music (also with sombrero)

The kids went wild whenever they saw an owl, but it was very hard to get them to shut up again. The actors had a tough time, but it was a big success and everybody had a lot of fun.
