Spring is slowly emerging, but not as much as in the Netherlands. Here are some pics from my daily life.

The herons have started building their nests and their mating rituals. They do that in large colonies while they spend the rest of the year in solitary. It’s a bizar sight, at the edge of the city the colony has settled down in a couple of trees.en.

A hundred nests with those big herons on top.

herons2
This colony is located at the border of Vancouver with Stanley Park, right above tennis courts, but they are not bothered by that.

herons3
Mating rituals.

My Flamenco shoes have arrived! I waited almost 3 months before the shoemaker in Madrid has finished them. As you can see I’m very happy and they fit perfectly.

dinner
At the end of the day we prepared a traditional Canadian dish: Nachos with Margaritas. This combines very well with a game of rummio.
